PADI Tec 45 Diver Course

This is the introduction to longer decompression stops and using one additional deco cylinder. You will be qualified to complete accelerated decompression dives. Using any mix of Nitrox to a maximum depth of 45 meters.

We can combine the Tec 40/45 course in only 6 days. These 2 courses are a sub-course of the full PADI Tec Deep Diver course.

Following on from Tec 40 you will now learn to make gas switch at depth.

•    Staging and retrieving decompression tanks
•    Out of air gas sharing whilst swimming exercise

You’ll also be trained in the use of technical diving equipment and procedures, the motor skills needed for technical diving, understand and acknowledge the hazards and risks involved in technical diving, prepare for & respond to reasonably foreseeable technical diving emergencies that may occur and provide the foundational skills and knowledge necessary for continuing onto Tec 50 and completing the entire Tec Deep Diver course.

If you already hold the PADI Tec 40 certification (or equivalent), the course takes 3 days of diving – or we can offer the PADI Tec 40/45 combined courses in 6 days.

This course builds on the training, dive planning and technical motor skills learned in the Tec 40 course and allows the diver to make gas switch decompression dives to 45 meters using air and enriched air up to 100% oxygen to accelerate decompression, with no time restrictions on the amount of decompression time you can build up.

Prerequisites:

• Certified as Tec 40 diver or equivalent
• Certified as a PADI Deep diver or equivalent
• You will need a minimum of 50 logged dives.
• Minimum of 12 dives with enriched air deeper than 18 meters
• Six Nitrox dives deeper than 30 meters.
